The first two TECHNE Slag Taurus P 60 slag transporters supplied to LogServ in Linz have now been working for more than a year, each successfully completing over 5,000 hours of operation. The customer's experience has been extremely positive thanks to excellent performance, high safety standards and very low operating costs, so the decision was made to purchase another TECHNE slag transporter. It is already in production and will join the rest of the slag handling equipment at Voest shortly, further consolidating the system. The diesel engine is new. The engine supplied by TECHNE meets the final TIER 4 emission standard. It features a diesel particulate filter to reduce soot particles, and thermal and chemical exhaust after-treatment with DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) injection.
