FIRST TECHNE SLAG POT TRANSPORTER FOR SWITZERLAND. STAHL GERLAFINGEN CHOOSE A SLAG TAURUS P 40

Stahl Gerlafingen AG, a company of the Italian AFV Beltrame Group, produces approx. 700,000 tons of section and reinforcement steel annually. Since environmental considerations play a special role, these electrical steel plant use latest technologies and processed almost exclusively recycling scrap into end products. The slag, produced during the smelting process, is transported and tipped in the steel mill using slag pot transporters. A product out of these slag is High-quality base material for the construction industry, so-called EOS granulate. To operate the slag handling more efficiently with the most modern technology, Stahl Gerlafingen decided to purchase a new slag pot transporter. After intensive consultations and detailed discussions, the choice fell on the newest generation TECHNE SLAG TAURUS P 40. The P 40 is extensively equipped and, with its particularly clean and very economical diesel engine of emissions level 5, fulfills the environmental aspects. Faster tipping offers more effectivity and the newest control technology ensures a significantly higher safety standard in operation. The new TECHNE SLAG TAURUS P 40 will be the backbone of the internal slag transportation from late summer 2020 and largely replace the old vehicles. We are already looking forward to the close cooperation and partnership with Stahl Gerlafingen, TECHNE's first steel mill customer in Switzerland!
